Treating Hypertension with Homeopathy

Did you know that Hypertension, or abnormally high blood pressure, affects over a half a billion people all over the world? Hypertension is a silent killer, which shows no symptoms while it causes damage to the eyes, heart, brain, and kidneys. Many are unaware they have the disease and are at risk of having a stroke, going blind, heart disease, and kidney failure. Causing 5 million deaths per year around the world, there is no medical cure for high blood pressure or hypertension.

Hypertension can be separated into two types-primary and secondary. The difference between these two, is primary has no obvious specific causes for the disease. Secondary on the other hand, is a result of other problems in the body. For example, some of the more common causes of secondary hypertension are from adrenal gland disease, narrowing of the aorta, kidney disease, sleep apnea, and others as well.

Many medical professionals are unable to conclude the exact cause of hypertension. It is widely known that a wide selection of over the counter drugs and prescriptions can cause or deepen the affects of hypertension. Cigarette smoking, alcohol, and caffeine are also contributors to causing or exacerbating hypertension. Did you know that 30-60% of alcoholics suffer from hypertension?

In a recent research, it was found that about 60% of strokes and 50% of heart attacks are a result of hypertension.

I’ve performed some research in regards to treating hypertension with Homeopathic medicine with hopes of also finding a cure through this type of holistic treatment. If you’re a skeptic of holistic medicine, the results of my findings may just sway you to take homeopathic medicine a little more seriously.

Homeopathy can reduce blood pressure by determining its cause with a holistic approach, and acts to cure the person with this disease as a whole. Using symptoms, homeopaths conclude which remedy will have the most beneficial healing response within the body. Each individual with high blood pressure or hypertension is treated on an individual basis, and may even receive slightly different medicinal treatments based on their needs.

Treating Hypertension with homeopathy not only helps reduce blood pressure, but it also works to improve overall health and well being.

Here are a few examples of some homeopathic remedies for hypertension along with their symptoms:

Glonoinum-Severe pounding headaches, flushed face, throbbing or pulsing blood vessels in the neck. Irregular heartbeat, and/or heavy chest. Conditions worsen after walking or moving around, sun exposure, and consumption of alcohol.

Arg-n- Blood pressure rises with nervousness or anxiety. Feeling dizzy, headaches, and throbbing pulse as a result of a stressful situation. In most cases, people who require this remedy are imaginative, impulsive, claustrophobic, and develop a craving for sweet and salty food.

Calc-c- For those who tire easy and develop poor stamina. Breathing problems worsen when walking up the stairs or steep incline, as well as when lying down. Usually chilliness with clammy hands and feet, head and feet will heat up at night when sleeping and possibly sweat. May crave for sweets and eggs, and may have problems with their weight.

These are just a few of the homeopathic remedies that are used to treat those who have symptoms of hypertension. For further information, see a recommended homeopathic doctor or visit your nearest natural health store.
